Love West Salem…March 14-18
What exactly is Love West Salem? From time to time we take the opportunity to host visiting groups at Soma Church and work together with our local community in order to be the hands and
feet of Jesus as we Love West Salem. From March 14-18, we’ll be hosting 14 students from Abilene Christian University who are using their spring break as an opportunity to serve.
What exactly will we be doing to be the hands and feet of Jesus this week?
· Sunday (3/14)…everyone will participate in a “mini-orientation” to Soma and what God is doing right here in Salem, Oregon before our Sunday evening worship gathering at 6:00 p.m.
· Monday (3/15)…distributing flyers into the community about a FREE Community BBQ and serving at our local Boys & Girls Club
· Tuesday (3/16)…serving at HOME Youth & Resource Center and at our local Boys & Girls Club
· Wednesday (3/17)…serving at our Adopt-a-Neighborhood street cleanup and working on one of our local City Parks
· Thursday (3/18)…putting on a FREE Community BBQ that will collect donations to benefit our local Family Building Blocks
