Love West Salem
Service Week—March 14-18, 2011
Every year, Soma hosts students from Abilene Christian University as we blitz our local community with service and love...thus the name: Love West Salem. The activities vary from year to year, but one constant theme stays the same; our desire to represent the hands and feet of Jesus in ways that communicate worth to people.
Here’s a look at what’s on schedule for this year:
Monday, March 14
~Distribute BBQ Flyers in Community (9:30-noon)
~Organize Storage Unit for Clothing Giveaway (1-6pm)
Tuesday, March 15
~Praying for where God wants us to go (9-noon)
~Afternoon Off
Wednesday, March 16
~IHN (9am-2pm)
~Keizer Church of Christ (5-8pm)
Thursday, March 17
~Adopt-a-Neighborhood Cleanup in Edgewater (10-noon)
~After-School in the Edge (2:30-5:30pm)
~Community BBQ at Kingwood (5:30-8pm)
Friday, March 18
~Free Clothing Giveaway at Soma (3-6pm)
~Dinner on the Green at Soma (6-8pm)
