Transformation

God is holy. In fact, He is so different than humans that we are left with words like “glorious” or “marvelous” to describe Him.
In one of Paul’s letters to the Corinthians, he describes what happens when we spend time in the presence of God:
“Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord’s glory,
are being transformed into His likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord who is the Spirit.” (2 Corinthians 3:17-18).
In other words, when you spend time with God you will be changed. We call this change “transformation”
and it
describes a life-long intentional process of living out faith in
Jesus with others.
How does this value shape us as a church? Being changed into image of Christ is why we do what we do,
and so, in
everything we want to be intentional about creating space and time for this divine relationship to flourish and reproduce in others.
