At Soma we don’t really define who we are simply by the time we gather for worship on Sunday nights. That time together is moving and experiential; but not the only thing we want to be known for. We want to be Jesus to people, which means engaging people in a variety of ways with the Gospel.
When you do gather with us for worship, here’s what you can expect: We’re extremely casual (no suits or ties; in fact, sometimes no shoes), but also very spiritual. If you’re curious about Soma and checking us out, we’ll assume that you want to genuinely experience the depth of worship that we participate in. At the same time, we’ll also assume you’re exploring Jesus for the first time and will give you as much space as you want. Questions are also completely ok. We’d rather be honest about life and faith instead of pretending to have it all together. Here is a collection of some of the
songs we sing at Soma.
We like to make Sunday nights creative and interactive, so while we do things like sing, pray, hear from scripture, and take communion together, we also do those things in ways that engage the whole person with the Gospel. So it wouldn’t be uncommon to see various arts (music, painting, or poetry to name a few) in how we do worship.
